Reviewer's
Impressions:
The Tag Light now takes the prize as the smallest light available.
So tiny it should fit almost anywhere.
Fit and finish are good. No surprises to be found. It assembles
fairly easily and snaps together well, although it does not
take much pressure to snap it open.
It's so lightweight it withstands drops, flings, kicks, etc.
without much difficulty. I wouldn't purposely try to crush
it but it should withstand your usual everyday abuse.
Output is OK. It dims very rapidly when placed in "constant
on" mode. Over about 1 minute it will decrease from 11
lux to about 4 lux. If the batteries are given a chance to
rest it will be back up to its full intensity again. For
this reason it is best used only for short periods as a momentary
light for illuminating keyholes, finding dropped coins at
your feet, etc.
Beam quality is typical of a single LED light. It casts a
wide directional flood of light. Thanks to the textured sides
of the lens covering the LED it can be used as a marker light.
It would be pretty cool if worn as a necklace or especially
as an earring.
Water resistance is nonexistent. Open it up and let it dry
if it gets wet.
Not much else to say about this light. It's absolutely tiny,
not water resistant, and could be subject to accidental activation
so precautions should be taken when packing. If you need the
absolute smallest light you can carry - this is it!
+ + + Pluses: Small, Lightweight
- - - Minuses: Not water resistant, Dims
rapidly, Tedious battery change, Switch can be accidentally
activated.
