Short Description:

The Stylus is a LED penlight made by Streamlight. It is designed for anyone who needs a very small, bright and lightweight flashlight that will fit in the pocket of a shirt or uniform.

The body of the Stylus is very narrow with ribs near the end to facilitate grip. The single LED protrudes from the end of the light. The sample evaluated has a black anodized aluminum body with a white LED. The body and LED are available in a variety of colors.

The bulb is a single LED driven by three AAAA batteries inserted + toward the LED. The package includes 3 Energizer e2 AAAA batteries already loaded into the flashlight.

The switch has two modes. You can press a button at the end of the tailcap for momentary on use, or you can tighten the endcap for constant-on and loosen it again to turn it off.

The package also includes a pocket clip already attached to the light.

The Streamlight Stylus is a nearly perfect replacement for those old, tired "penlights" that are actually the size of a screwdriver.

In use I find the switch to be workable by one hand for both momentary and constant-on positions. It's small, unobtrusive, and fits perfectly in a shirt pocket.

The batteries can be a little tough to find but here's a little trick for you adventurous types - supposedly (I haven't tried it yet) if you take apart some 9V batteries you'll find 6 AAAA batteries inside. You may need to make a spacer to make them work since the cells will be a little shorter than usual. Try at your own risk.

All in all I like the stylus and find it to be very useful in a variety of lighting applications where a penlight is needed.
