Short Description:

FlashlightLens.com produces high quality replacement glass lenses for several manufacturer's flashlights. A recent addition to their selection of lenses includes a Light Diffusing Film (LDF) permanently attached to their lenses. The result? A much more uniform beam of light from smooth reflector lights that usually produce beams full of rings and holes using the stock lens.

Currently FlashlightLens.com uses 3 types of glass, each with its own benefits. Each is available with the LDF.

Borofloat is a form of borosilicate glass similar to Pyrex.. Borofloat is extremely temperature resistant and won't shatter if your hot flashlight is dropped into a cold stream.

B270 Superwite is the most scratch resistant glass replacement lenses that they have with better transmission than the Borofloat, almost matching that of the UCL lenses.

UCL (Ultra Clear Lens) transmits over 99% of all visible light. This means that you will be getting the most light possible out of your flashlight. These lenses are also coated to be anti-reflective, water repellent, and anti-glare. These coatings allow the lens to remain a optically clear as possible under a wide variety of conditions.

UCL for 3 or 4 D Mag with LDF coating
Mag 3D stock lens - narrow focus
Mag 3D with UCL/LDF - narrow focus
Mag 3D stock lens - medium focus
Mag 3D with UCL/LDF - medium focus

Reviewer's Impressions:

Once again, I'm going to let the pictures above do the talking for me. The replacement lenses result in an amazing difference. Yes, you will lose some "throw" - that is the light will not project the same distance since some of the light is scattered to produce the nice smooth spot you see above. However you gain the advantage of a much more even spot of light which is easier on the eyes.

At the time of this review, cost was $7.50 to $10.00 depending on the lens. Shipping is free. International delivery available for a fee.

An excellent upgrade. Although a little more expensive, it actually does a better job than WriteRight - an aftermarket film which I have recommended in the past that you can apply yourself and produces a similar effect .
