Reviewer's
Impressions:
This little light puts out a suprisingly good beam for only
$3. The combination of the partially faceted reflector and
the frosted spot lens produces a beam with no rings.
The plastic case is softer and more flexible than your typical
brittle plastic cheap light, giving it a good degree of durability.
The light has no environmental protection from water except
for the tight fit of the parts. This light would survive a
quick dunk or a drenching in a rainstorm, provided it were
dried out once inside.
The hanger ring has a flat spot that protrudes from the side
of the flashlight to server as a roll-stop device. In reality,
when the flashlight rolls and the hanger ring roll-stop strikes
the ground surface, the hanger ring hinges out, allowing the
flashlight to continue rolling.
For a general household light, this would be a good choice,
and should be able to take its share of abuse if dropped,
kicked, etc.
+ + + Pluses: Releatively tough, Decent beam, moderately
bright, very cheap
- - - Minuses: Not water resistant, cheap construction
inside, poor rollstop tab
